2011 saw Alan win the hit TV show, Celebrity Salon. Soon he will be heading up TV3's all important Saturday night line up, with his new show, Alan Hughes' Family Fortunes.
Alan has been one of our best loved TV stars for many years. Viewers of Ireland am, on TV3, have been waking up to his bright smile and cheeky personality for over a decade.
Panto lovers have watched him on stage as Sammy Sausages for even longer.
He's been nominated for many awards, including an IFTA and a TV Now award and Ireland am has twice won the TV Now award for best TV Show.
The cult gameshow TALKABOUT ran for 3 years on RTE 1 with Alan at the helm. Many viewers also remember him as the student coming home to mammy, in the now infamous ESB commercial.
He has been the resident host of Miss Universe Ireland for the past 5 years. Alan also produces the panto and loves every single minute of it!!!!!!
